Are you ready to lift your voice to the Lord? Join us during the 10:45 service on Sunday mornings as one of Praise & Worship groups (Redland Grace, Stage Left, A Joyful Noise) lead the congregation in contemporary songs of praise and adoration with a variety of instruments, including piano, guitar, clarinet, keyboard, and tamborine, as well as vocalists.
For more information or to join, email our Choir Director, Debbie Rau.
Family & Fellowship
A dedicated team of church members offer a variety of family-oriented and inter-generational activities, such as Easter egg hunts, seasonal festivals, Christmas caroling, potlucks, Dinners for 8 and field trips, to encourage fellowship and togetherness. Redland also hosts what we like to call "All Hands on Deck" events. These include our Annual Spring Fling in April, Vacation Bible School in July, and our famous Pig Roast & Auction in September.
The Redland Ladies Society is a women's fellowship and service group which was formed for the local church community in 1936 at the original Redland Chapel. Over the years the activities of the group have blossomed into a wonderful fellowship of service to God and others. Some of those activities include: serving meals during the annual Pig Roast, serving an evening meal to Vacation Bible School attendees and their families, assisting the Nurture Committee with bereavement luncheons, hosting a Holiday Bazaar each December, and cooking/serving the annual Ruritan Banquet at the local fire hall.
Our Worship Visioning Team members work closely with the pastor to brainstorm, outline, develop, and schedule the themes, scriptures, and music for Sunday morning services throughout the year. The teams meets every Wednesday evening at 7:30 PM in the Pastor's office.
Congregational Care & Reaching New People
With hospitality and loving care at their core, the Reaching New People Team works to smooth the process of welcoming new people and encouraging them to become part of our church and the Congregational Care Team's mission is to care for various needs within our church family. There are several opportunities for you to welcome, serve and nurture our church family:
Prayer Chain: Pray with other group members for the specific needs of people within our congregation or the community.
Caring Meals: Share your flare in the kitchen by preparing a meal for an individual/family in need due to illness, surgery, or other specific need.
Shepherds Shadow: Members are assigned a group or "flock" of people to look after and follow-up with they are absent from church or other group activities.
In addition to hosting/sponsoring a number of family-oriented events throughout the year (fishing challenges, baseball family nights), the Men's group meets for Bible reading every Wednesday morning at 7:00 AM at the Denny's on Route 11. Study typically centers around the verses for the following Sunday service. For more information, email Scott Hamel.
Redland's Stewardship Committee seeks, led by the Spirit, to provide financial direction, budgeting, funding, management of the budget, recording and communicating financial information, and financial oversight for our ministries. The funding of our ministries is a year-round endeavor; however, a special effort to encourage financial commitment is conducted annually in the fall to estimate a final budget for ongoing ministry. Special gifts and designated gifts add to our ability to minister to the local community as well as the world community in the name of Christ.
