Redland Outreach Center
The Outreach Center is a mission of Redland United Methodist Church. Our purpose is to help families in our community experiencing hardship due to fire or other disasters, loss of job, etc. by providing assistance. Donations from our Redland congregation and the community include clean, gently used clothing, shoes, bedding, household goods, and sometimes furniture and are offered at low or no cost to those in need.
We provide a food pantry stocked with donations from our congregation and community. The food pantry is available by appointment by calling the Church office at (540) 888-4418.
We are open to the public on Saturday's from 9 am-Noon and Wednesday's for donations. If you would like to donate goods, please call ahead.
Please do not leave donations outside of the center. Items may be damaged due to the weather or scattered and/or carried off by local wildlife. We welcome all volunteers to help us unpack, sort and place items on either Saturday or Wednesday.
Monetary contributions may be mailed to: REDLAND CHURCH, P.O. Box 605, Cross Junction, VA 22625. Please note "Outreach Center" on the memo line.
Adults & older youth participate in mission activities in and around our community, including preparing and serving meals for both the Salvation Army and WATTS, packaging shoe boxes for the Christmas Child program, packaging meals for Stop Hunger Now, purchasing blankets for distribution through Church World Service, raising money by selling lemonade for Imagine No Malaria and participating in 30 Hour Famine, and visiting inmates through the Kairos Prison Ministry. For more information on these mission ministries and others, email the Church Office.
